Our dinner in the restaurant was extraordinary, with delicious local ingredients and excellent service. The overall ambiance was good.

the staff was loyal - we would happily return. hotel is superior in general. superior double room was air-conditioned, the beds were comfortable. our kudos go to waiter for the hospitality! the restaurant had excellent food.

Everyone is competent and owner too.

Our trip was perfectly pleasant, would happily return. We were there for 1 day, everything was good, greatly enjoyed its exceptionally nice and stunning location just off the centre of the village and the bistro which was also very good. A gourmet restaurant for dinner was an advantage.

Nice and outstanding rooms, a particularly good bathroom. Lovely beds. Location next to the centre, the restaurant which has a great menu, and Sancerre and Cosne sur Loire.

The dinner menu lacked a la carte options, restricting meal choices. Breakfast was quite limited, leaving me wanting more variety. My wet room bathroom design was subpar, with a shower that didn't flow properly.

Perfect place for staying in the center of Sancerre. All staff were FRIENDLY. Will be back, the hotel met expectations.

This is a small but upmarket hotel right in the centre of the charming town of Chavignol and just a few kilometers from Sancerre. We stayed one night primarily to enjoy the gourmet restauirant and stock up on the wonderful wine and goats cheese of the area. The menu in the bright and elegant restaurant was outstanding and original. The "Menu Degustation" @ 55 Euros was good value for top class cuisine. The suite we had (150 Euros) was roomy and comfortable. Everything worked - inclduing the free Wifi. The family run hotel/restuarant is highly recommended.

The hotel does not have its own secure parking but there is plenty of public parking nearby.

Breakfast left something to be desired. Options felt a bit limited, and the shared coffee pot made it less appealing. During dinner, the signature menu featured a couple of disappointing dishes, with one being tough veal and a poorly balanced dessert.

We have used this hotel 3-4 times as we have business in the area. The hotel is well run and the staff competent and polite in most cases

The parking in the small village is problematic, the free wifi is next to non existant and one waiter in the gourmet restaurant is straight forward unpleasant and arrogant - an observation made on several occasions

The room in the Superior Double Room was spacious with lovely views over the vineyards. Unfortunately, breakfast coffee choices were limited.

This is an en excellent hotel located in a village very close to Sancerre, with tasting rooms for various vineyards in the village. This is best three-star hotel I've stayed in.

Excellent cuisine and pleasant staff. Run by part of the Bourgeois family whose domaine is in the village of Chavignol and produces wonderful Sancerre wine.
